4 October 2004 – Obtained the degree of Doctor of History, at the European University Institute, under supervision of Professor Bo Stråth. External supervisor: Professor Lars Edgren, Lund University, Sweden. Jury members: Professor Raffaele Romanelli, La Sapienza, Rome, Italy and Professor Øystein Sørensen, University of Oslo, Norway. Title of thesis: Making Politics in the Streets. Political Rituals and Rhetoric in 19th Century Sweden.
August 1998 – Started the Postgraduate Research Program at the European University Institute, Florence, Italy, supervised by Professor Bo Stråth.
February 1998 – Started the Research Program in the Department of History in Lund with Professor Kim Salomon.
January 1998 – MA, History major, then Italian and Literature, Lund University, Sweden. Title of thesis: The Myth of Garibaldi in Helsingborg. Political Ceremonies 1860- 1862.
December 1997 – MA in Italian with specialization in Italian literature, Lund University, Sweden. Title of thesis: Le strutture drammatiche nelle commedie di Carlo Goldoni.

Teaching experiences
Autumn 2007 I taught Modern and Contemporary European History (1815 to present) and tutored BA papers at the Department of History, Halmstad University, Sweden. Furthermore I taught scientific theory and methodology at the Military College, Halmstad.
Spring 2007 February/May I taught Modern and Contemporary European History (1815 to present) and a course on Scandinavian History for foreign students at the Department of History, Halmstad University, Sweden.
Summer/Autumn 2006 - Research assistant to Prof. Katherine S. Newman, Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs, Princeton University, USA, in a sociological project where I conducted interviews for her project in Sweden etc.
Spring 2006 - I taught two different courses in Modern and Contemporary History at the Department of Humanities, Högskolan in Halmstad.
Fall 2005 - I taught a course on Modern and Contemporary Italian History at Boston University, Padova.
February 2005 onwards - Helped with translations into English and general language assistance, Infoblu, Florence, Italy.
Nov. 2004 onwards - English teaching in private to various students in Florence.
April 2004 – Nov. 2004 Working for EF Education, Milano, teaching Business English to managers.
Spring 1998 – Teacher in Italian, Swedish and English at Österportskolan (Secondary School), Ystad, Sweden.
1996-1998 – Teacher in Italian at Medborgarskolan (an evening school), Staffanstorp, Sweden.

1994/95 – ERASMUS-student at the Università degli studi di Firenze. There I studied the History of the Italian Language (Storia della lingua italiana) and the History of the Theatre (Storia dello Spettacolo, con Prof. Siro Ferrone)
1992/93 – Au-pair in Florence, Italy. Language course in Italian at the Language School Dante Alighieri.
